Helmeted Guineafowl
(Numida Meleagris)
Found through most of Africa, these delightful birds are known as the “alarm clock of the bush” and will wake you up with their gaggling chatter at the break of dawn. They are great at raising the alarm whenever a predator is on the scene and for this reason many antelope will feed happily amongst them.
