Reeves’s Pheasant
(Syrmaticus reevesii)
Native to China, this species was once very common, but its range is now highly fragmented, and even lost to some areas. The species has been introduced to Hawaii and various parts of Europe.
Threats to species:
Hunting and habitat loss and fragmentation remain important threats and together they are suspected to be driving a rapid population decline in this species.
